Properties: Tungsten trioxide is an inorganic substance, chemical formula WO3, yellow powder. Insoluble in water, soluble in alkali, slightly soluble in acid. Used for making high melting point alloy and hard alloy, tungsten wire and fireproof material. It can be obtained by adding acid after comelting tungsten ore and soda ash.
Application: Tungsten trioxide is mainly used in calcination reduction to produce tungsten powder and tungsten carbide powder, and then used in the production of hard alloy products, such as tool and die manufacturing. At the same time can also be used to manufacture pure tungsten products, tungsten strip, tungsten wire, tungsten electrode; And shielding materials for counterweight and radiation purposes. There is also a small amount of industrial production used as yellow pottery colorant.
